It started with Coach Cruise at M.B. Smiley High School (NFISD, Houston, TX) — 4 years of cross country and track that taught me discipline before I even knew what to call it. 

Then came the Army. PT runs at 0530, ruck marches, and eventually an international military track competition in Germany — running for something bigger than a scoreboard.

But underneath the training and the competition, there's always been something simpler: a personal love of running. It's mental therapy of the best kind.
